CARSON VALLEY HEALTH CONTINUES COMMITMENT TO HEALTHY COMMUNITIES IN DOUGLAS COUNTY

Carson Valley Health has generously sponsored the Douglas County Community and Senior Center Gym Scoreboards continuing their commitment since 2016. The donation provides key support for all the healthy and recreational activities offered in the gym every day for all ages.

Douglas County Community Services Foundation Chairman Renea Louie shared, “Collaboration and community are some of the core values that we prioritize in our mission of the Foundation to support the Community Centers in Douglas County. We emphasize those values in all we do and partner with great organizations like Carson Valley Health who are an integral part of making our community and senior centers a healthier and better place. The Douglas County Community & Senior Center and the Douglas County Community Services Foundation are extremely grateful for the incredible, continued support from Carson Valley Health. They have again renewed their ongoing pledge as the 2023-24 Naming Rights sponsor for all eight scoreboards in the Douglas County Community Center gymnasium.”

Community Center users of all ages spend time in the gym for hundreds of healthy activities all year long. As proud sponsors of the scoreboards, Carson Valley Health encourages the community to engage in fun and healthy activities. The message can be seen by all youth, adults and families who use the gym through encouraging reminders for healthy lifestyle choices on the eight scoreboards they proudly sponsor.

“Carson Valley Health holds our partnership with Douglas County Community and Senior Center in the highest regard, and we look forward to many more years of support,” says Heidi Saucedo, marketing manager for Carson Valley Health. “Working together to keep our residents in good health is a huge benefit to our community.”

About the Douglas County Community and Senior Center and Foundation

The valley center opened December 6, 2014, is at the heart of Gardnerville, Nevada and is not just a community center, but the center of the community. Seniors, adults and youth, are all welcome and can find numerous activities and offerings at the center. Thousands of citizens use the centers each week.

The Douglas County Community Services Foundation was formed in 2011 to support the community centers and senior centers in Douglas County, both Lake, Valley and South County. The Foundation’s main emphasis is to support the construction and ongoing capital and equipment needs of the Carson Valley Community and Senior Center, Kahle Community Center and the Topaz Ranch Estates Neighborhood Center in South County. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)(3) corporation intended to make improvements to the community and senior center as easily and efficiently as possible with the maximum amount of accountability. The Foundation acts as a liaison between the government of Douglas County and private donors to maximize and meet the private donor's needs.
