Join the CVH Foundation on May 6 for Big Hats, Bowties and Fast Horses!

woman in hatsLadies don your best hats, men sport your bowties, and head for the races! Tickets are on sale now for the Carson Valley Health Hospital Foundation’s annual Day at the Derby – a Kentucky Derby party for the Carson Valley held on Saturday, May 6.

In true Kentucky Derby spirit, guests are encouraged to wear classic derby attire. The party starts at 2 p.m. at the Douglas Co. Community Center’s Grand Ballroom. Guests will enjoy complimentary Mint Juleps, a selection of fine southern fare courtesy of North Tahoe Catering Company, bourbon tasting, auction items, and a viewing of the 143rd annual Kentucky Derby live from Churchill Downs. Guests will also have the opportunity to win prizes for the “best hat” and “best dressed.”  

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at cvmchospital.org/derby or by calling the Foundation office at 775.782.1697. Sponsorship packages are available, and custom sponsorships can be arranged.

Since its establishment in 2009, through fundraising and individual and corporate gifting, the Foundation has made the following healthcare advances available to patients locally: Digital mammography equipment, telemedicine, cutting edge surgery and ultrasound equipment, and more. Over the past year, the Foundation has also launched a women’s breast cancer support fund and two healthcare scholarship programs.
