Mammogram and Massage Back for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

GARDNERVILLE, NV. (September 30, 2015) – Ladies, treat yourself to a special day this October. Carson Valley Health will be recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering $50.00 mammograms on select dates. Screening mammograms followed by a chair massage will be offered on Saturday, October 10 and Saturday October 24 between the hours of 7:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Registration is now open at www.cvmchospital.org/mammo. This is a public service offered by Carson Valley Health to encourage women to get screened for early detection of breast cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends that women age 40 and older should have a mammogram every year and should continue to do so for as long as they are in good health. The discounted screenings will be offered at Carson Valley Health’s Gardnerville offices, 1107 Highway 395.
Additional Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities at Carson Valley Health include a presentation by Registered Dietician Renie Tharp on Saturday, October 24 discussing nutritional approaches to cancer prevention.
