Family Health and Wellness Fest

GARDNERVILLE, NV. (July 31, 2015) – On August 15, 2015 Carson Valley Health will again open its doors to the public for a free community health fair – the Family Health and Wellness Fest. Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to the event between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm at Carson Valley Health, 1107 Highway 395 on the south end of Gardnerville.

A wide variety of services and activities will be presented, starting with this year’s kick-off event, a Color Blast fun run to benefit Tahoe Youth and Family Services. In addition, the Health Fest will offer free health screenings including blood pressure checks, body composition analysis, nutrition analysis (for those who bring their most recent lab results), and glucose screening. 

Family activities will include a bounce house, games, face painting, free food and raffle prizes.

The event will showcase more than 25 informational booths including Carson Valley Health health services and those of additional community partners such as East Fork Fire and Paramedic District, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Family Support Council, and more.
