Susan DavilaSusan Davila has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Carson Valley Health (CVH). Davila began her work at CVH Sept. 17.

In her role, she will oversee the operations of the hospital, the seven clinics operated by CVH, and the 325 employees of the organization.

Prior to her position with CVH, Davila served as a Chief Executive Officer since 2007 at Desert View Regional Medical Center in Pahrump, Nev. She has also held positions throughout her healthcare career as chief financial officer, chief information officer, clinic director and support specialist at hospitals and medical centers spanning back to 1989. She joins CVH with a successful record of fostering strong organizational teams, building programs and developing professional physician relationships.

"I am looking forward to joining Carson Valley Health at such an exciting time in its history. Next year marks CVH's 20th anniversary of providing quality healthcare services to the Carson Valley. It's the perfect time to take the organization to the next level with the implementation of electronic medical records and telemedicine services, as well as expanding access to care and renewing our connections with the community,” says Davila.

Davila replaces Bill Hale, CEO of CVH since 2008, who announced his retirement earlier this month. CVH is the area’s full-service hospital, serving the patients of the Carson Valley and surrounding communities, and is also one of the largest employers in the Carson Valley.
