Carson Valley Health recently received the 2012 Bright Spots in the Silver State Award for demonstrating excellence in the performance of Partnership for Patients Safety and Culture goals promoted in the national Hospital Engagement Network project.

The 2012 Bright Spots in the Silver State Award recognizes hospitals for sustained reductions in medical harm and achieving excellence in leadership, culture and patient engagement.

This award is sponsored by the Nevada Hospital Engagement Network, a collaborative effort of the Nevada Hospital Association and HealthInsight, Nevada to execute the national effort to engage Nevada hospitals in reducing medical harm and improving outcomes.

“Our success in the area of patient safety and quality are attributed to the wonderful team that we have here at CVH from Administration to the hospital staff caring for the patient, to the Housekeeping staff that ensures our facility is clean. I am proud that CVH has been selected to receive the this award” says Christine O’Farrell, CVH Director of Quality and Risk.
